Program
The Sundance Ski Team is a developmental program designed to teach young athletes the fundamentals of ski racing. Our goal is to provide a fun, safe environment where young skiers can progress and experience the benefits from the thrills and challenges of ski racing. With a mixture of about half our time gate training, and equal parts free skiing drills, and directed free skiing, members will learn how to glide fast and arc fast turns. Athletes will be skiing and training on moderate terrain to learn the essentials. More challenging terrain will be used strategically to help the athletes boost skill level and develop their comfort zones required to ski all terrain type.

Sundance Ski Team members can participate in four local Youth Ski League Races, based on age groups. Applicants must have a birth date 2000 or earlier to participate, No Exceptions! Parents are responsible for transporting their young skiers to the races. A parent will need to remain at the race throughout the day.

Skill Level
As a minimum, skiers must be aggressive and confident on most terrain. Skiers should be comfortable skiing fast and wanting to go faster on “blue” terrain. Participants should have a parallel turn initiation with a pole plant.

Regular Season: 12 Saturdays
January 5th- March 22nd 9:30am–4:00 pm
Cost: $600.00 + Season Pass
Cost Includes coach’s fees and YSL entry fees.

Extended Season: 16 Saturdays
Dec. 8th–March 22nd
Cost: $800.00 + Season Pass
Cost Includes coach’s fees and YSL entry fees.

USSA Race Team: 48 Training days
2 midweek half-day sessions, and Saturday per week
Cost: $1100.00 + Season Pass.
Includes coaches fees and a five day Christmas Camp.

Saturday March 15–Sunday March 16 Brian Head YSL Championships
